PYP - 4th & 5th Grade

4th Grade - Every student in 4th grade receives instrument lessons on Piano, Drum Set, Guitar, and Bass Guitar. The school year is spent learning the basics of these instruments, as well as learning the theory of Blues and Pop songs.

5th Grade- Every student in 5th grade chooses one of the four instruments to study for the entire year. Students' 5th grade year is spent building skills on a specific instrument leading to performance, composition, and improvisation.

MYP - 6th & 7th Grade

Music Tech Class - Every Student in 6th & 7th grade has Music Tech Class for one Trimester.  Students learn to produce and music using technology. A majority of the time, students are composing their own music using Garageband on iPads. Students also learn about the science of audio and sound waves.

Music Lab - Music Lab is optional for 6th & 7th grade students. It is a continuation of their instrumental instruction from 4th and 5th grade. Students continue to build skills on their instruments, compose, improvise, perform, and record.
