The York Academy Library is an extension of Martin Library and the York County Libraries. This partnership provides many advantages for our students, including access to various programs. They can renew books, place holds and have books delivered to school for them. Students also learn how to perform advanced searches in the online catalog and master other valuable skills. These free resources include Hoopla, Book Flix, and POWER Library. The best way to locate these resources is by utilizing the York County Libraries website. You may also click on "Library Resources" at left for helpful videos and documents.

Kindergarten through sixth grade students learn basic book care, library organization and research skills. Lessons in their language arts classes are reinforced with literature from the library. Curriculum content is based on the International Baccalaureate model, the Model Curriculum for PA School Libraries, PA Common Core Standards, ISTE (International Standards for Technology in Education) and AASL standards (American Association of School Librarians).
