Cafeteria

York Academy recognizes that wellness and proper nutrition are related to students’ physical well-being, growth, development, and readiness to learn. All foods available in the school during the school day are offered to students with consideration for promoting student health and reducing childhood obesity. Foods provided through the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Programs comply with federal nutrition standards under the School Meals Initiative.

Lunches can be purchased by students and adults. Students may also bring a lunch from home and purchase milk or water in the cafeteria. The school maintains a closed lunch policy. Breakfast is served at the York Academy. Students who qualify for free or reduced meals also qualify for breakfast. All students may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at the school. The cost of lunch is $2.75 or $.40 for reduced and the breakfast is $1.70 or no charge for reduced. Any questions regarding the Food Services of York Academy should contact Mrs. Jeannie Linnemans at 717-801-3900, ext. 301 or by email at jlinnemans@yorkarcs.org.

Free Meals are available during the summer. Visit the website www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks for more information.
